The Roman Centurion was more than a soldier; he was the standard of leadership. Distinguished by the red crest of his helmet, the centurion led from the front, instilling discipline, confidence, and unity in those under his command. His vitis, the symbol of authority, reminded all that leadership comes with responsibility. Responsibility to the mission, the team, and the greater good.

About Me
Born and raised in South Florida in a proud law enforcement family, I began my career in 2004 with a major metropolitan sheriff’s office in South Florida. Over the years, I’ve served in a wide range of roles including patrol, patrol sergeant, crime suppression detective, dive rescue, fugitive detective, agency trainer, and for the majority of my career, a member of SWAT.
My time on SWAT has evolved through several stages. I started as a member of a busy part-time team and soon transitioned to my agency’s first hybrid SWAT/Fugitive unit, a precursor to a full-time tactical team. Later, as a district patrol supervisor managing an average of 10,000 calls for service per month, I gained firsthand experience leading patrol deputies through high-stress, critical incidents. That experience prepared me for my current position as a SWAT sergeant on a full-time team that provides direct tactical and ICS support to law enforcement operations across the region.
In this role, I’ve led teams through a broad spectrum of critical incidents from active assailant and hostage situations to officer rescues, armed barricades, vehicle pursuits, and shootings. I’ve also coordinated major non-criminal events such as missing person operations, large-scale accidents, and community events.
These experiences have shaped my understanding of leadership and decision-making under pressure, deepening my expertise in critical incident response. The lessons learned in these moments, both successes and failures, have fueled my passion to share that knowledge with the next generation of law enforcement leaders through Centurion Leadership Training
